G09
| Temp range | -60°C~230°C |
The G09 profile represents a high-performance, segmented non-metallic guide ring bearing assembly (multi-ring system) designed explicitly to handle extreme lateral overhung forces and maintain precise axial tracking in heavy-duty reciprocating hydraulic cylinders. Unlike single wide bearings, the G09 system consists of multiple identical rectangular elements installed in series or separated by minor lands. This layout optimizes load sharing across the piston head or cylinder rod gland, eliminating metal-to-metal tracking contact while maintaining uniform structural concentricity during heavy industrial operations.
The segmented bearing rings (shown in grey) are precision-machined from advanced wear-resistant engineering composites, typically glass-fiber reinforced Polyoxymethylene (POM), bronze-filled Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), or premium high-density phenolic resin fabric matrices. These high-spec compounds deliver superior compressive strength, minimal thermal expansion, and low moisture absorption to prevent dimensional swelling under constant submersion. The material set functions reliably within an operational temperature window from -40°C to +120°C (up to +200°C for PTFE variants) and is fully compatible with mineral-based hydraulic oils, synthetic lubricants, and water-glycol fluids.
The multi-segment geometry offers distinct load-distribution benefits: as a severe side load is introduced, the pressure spikes are split uniformly across the independent bearing rings, preventing localized deflection or mechanical edge-loading failures. Each ring features precision-engineered outer chamfers to eliminate micro-shaving against groove corners and ease hard assembly. By utilizing multiple independent support segments, the design breaks up fluid micro-vibrations and significantly minimizes stick-slip friction. Additionally, the composite material allows tiny hard particles or debris to embed safely into the ring wall, preventing scoring on polished cylinder bores and hard chrome-plated rod surfaces.
The G09 segmented guide ring system is widely specified for critical, high-load industrial fluid power equipment where standard guide rings might experience crushing or rapid tracking wear. It is standard equipment in large construction excavators, high-tonnage mining dump truck hoists, mechanical stabilizer jacks, and heavy mobile crane booms. Furthermore, its excellent vibration dampening and precise linear guiding make it an ideal selection for large industrial metal-forming presses, injection molding machines, scrap metal balers, and specialized marine offshore actuation systems.
