G02
| Temp range | -60°C~230°C |
The G02 profile represents a high-performance, precision-machined non-metallic guide ring (wear band) engineered specifically to guide reciprocating pistons and piston rods inside medium to heavy-duty hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. It features a completely flat, non-chamfered rectangular cross-section that maximizes the actual surface area available for carrying loads. Functioning strictly as a high-strength structural bearing element rather than a fluid sealing component, the G02 profile sustains extreme radial sideloads, prevents destructive metal-to-metal contact between sliding components, and ensures precise concentricity across long cylinder operating strokes.
The solid guide band body (shown in grey) is manufactured from specialized engineering materials possessing high compressive strength, such as glass-fiber reinforced Polyoxymethylene (POM), bronze-filled Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) compound, or high-density phenolic resin-impregnated cotton fabrics. This advanced composition exhibits an exceptionally low coefficient of dry friction, eliminates stick-slip tendencies, and prevents dimensional swelling over extended immersion. It operates reliably within a wide temperature range from -40°C to +120°C (up to +200°C for specialty PTFE materials) and maintains complete chemical compatibility with standard mineral-based oils, synthetic lubricants, and water-based hydraulic fluids.
The flat rectangular design with sharp geometric corners provides an extended, uninterrupted bearing face that yields an ideal distribution of intense side forces, preventing premature localized deformation. Its flat-edged geometry ensures complete volumetric contact against the walls of the installation groove, delivering exceptional tracking alignment and minimizing mechanical vibration or tilting under cyclical load fluctuations. Additionally, the specialized composite matrix safely embeds microscopic hardware contaminants and debris particles, shielding the polished surface of the mating cylinder bore or rod from micro-scratching, scoring, and accelerated wear.
The G02 rectangular guide ring is standardly implemented as a heavy-duty wear band for both rod and piston guidance in complex fluid power components. It is widely specified for mobile hydraulic infrastructure, including construction excavators, mining haul trucks, and heavy-duty loading cranes. Furthermore, its superb load distribution capability and low-friction behavior make it the preferred selection for industrial injection molding machines, high-tonnage stamping presses, multi-stage agricultural lifting cylinders, mechanical stabilizing jacks, and specialized offshore marine actuators.
