| Bestfluor®9075 is a low-temperature-specialized perfluoroelastomer (FFKM). It overcomes the low-temperature limitation of conventional FFKM ,maintaining tight sealing down to -42°C with outstanding chemical resistance. Different from silicone and other common low-temperature elastomers, it withstands various aggressive chemicals, mainly manufactured into O-rings, gaskets and other sealing components for cryogenic service in chemical, oil & gas and aerospace industries. | ||
Application Range
- Refining & Oil & Gas: Mechanical seals for hydrocarbon processing refinery equipment under drastic daily temperature swing (-35℃~+15℃); coupling seals for arctic & northern Europe cold-field piping
- Chemical Transportation: Manhole seals for rail tank cars, coupling gaskets of chemical transfer hoses
- Aerospace: Sealing parts for aircraft cryogenic equipment
- General Equipment: Custom seals (valve seats, diaphragms, T-seals, packing) for pumps & valves with cold startup requirement
- Outdoor Cold Service: Equipment seals for high-latitude & high-altitude chemical processes
Characteristics
1.Temperature Performance
- Continuous service range: -35℃ ~ +250℃, passes 0.4MPa nitrogen tightness test at -35℃
2.Chemical Resistance (672h immersion per ASTM D471)
- Excellent (swell 0~10%): 98% sulfuric acid, 250℃ steam/hot water, ammonium hydroxide;
- Satisfactory (swell10~20%):70% nitric acid, glacial acetic acid, ethylene diamine, butyraldehyde; Resists strong acids, alkalis, hot amines, aldehydes and steam, superior to conventional low-temp silicone & FKM.
3.Available Product Forms
- Standard O-rings (AS568, Metric, JIS sizes), custom O-rings, valve seats, diaphragms, gaskets, T-seals, packing and other molded profiles.
