Product Overview

The P22 profile represents a high-performance, single-acting composite compact seal specifically designed for linear reciprocating movements in heavy-duty hydraulic and pneumatic systems. It consists of a uniquely profiled elastomer/polyurethane dynamic sealing element energized by dual backup rings or specialized secondary tension blocks on both flanks. This structural configuration delivers superior dynamic and static sealing efficiency, making it highly effective for preventing system fluid leakage under intense working strokes and elevated pressures.

Material Characteristics

The core green sealing profile is engineered from high-grade Polyurethane (PUR) or premium Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) compound, exhibiting exceptional wear resistance, low friction coefficients, and great form stability.

The two symmetrical side components (shown in brown) function as specialized guiding rings or anti-extrusion stabilizers, fabricated from high-hardness Polyoxymethylene (POM), Nylon, or bronze-filled composites. This combination ensures the entire seal set remains completely unaffected by standard hydraulic oils, water-glycol fluids, and mineral greases while operating reliably within a broad temperature window from -30°C to +100°C (up to +200°C depending on the base compound).

Structural & Performance Advantages

The unique dome-shaped sealing lip profile utilizes optimized geometry to create concentrated radial contact pressure, guaranteeing an absolute leak-free state under low and high pressure ranges. The side blocks prevent any unwanted axial tilting, rolling, or stick-slip tendencies during continuous high-speed strokes up to 0.5 m/s. Furthermore, the robust rectangular base and flanking support elements drastically elevate its extrusion resistance, enabling the seal assembly to withstand extreme pressure spikes up to 40 MPa without experiencing structural tearing or gap-extrusion damage at the trailing groove edge.

Application Scope

The P22 compact seal is widely implemented as a heavy-duty rod or piston sealing solution across challenging industrial fields. It is standardly equipped in hydraulic cylinders for earthmoving machinery, mobile cranes, and agricultural equipment. Additionally, its high operational stability and long service life make it the preferred choice for industrial injection molding machines, heavy forging presses, mechanical loading platforms, and specialized servo-actuated precision cylinders.
