Granular Virgin PTFE is virgin fine-cut granular PTFE resin engineered for creep-resistant packing and gasket fabrication. Characterized by ultra-high melt viscosity, the material is conventionally processed via powder compression molding followed by high-temperature sintering to produce components with smooth finished surface and superior dimensional stability.
In terms of physical specifications, the resin features an average particle size of 32μm, bulk density of 0.29g/mL and specific gravity of 2.17. It delivers outstanding mechanical performance with tensile strength of 54MPa and elongation at break of 500%, alongside a mold shrinkage rate of 3.7%. Its primary melting peak reaches 341°C and secondary melting peak stands at 324°C, endowing excellent high-temperature resistance. Benefiting from unique molecular configuration, Granular Virgin PTFE possesses extreme chemical inertness against strong acids, alkalis and organic solvents, coupled with low friction coefficient, self-lubricity and non-adhesive property to sustain stable physical properties under severe corrosive service conditions.
The product shall be handled in accordance with corresponding SDS prior to processing and is not certified as medical-grade raw material.
