The R09 high-performance, general purpose, single-acting U-ring rod or piston seal is designed to provide a dry sealing solution in light and medium-duty applications and manufactured in, Hallite’s high-performance polyurethane, for easy installation and excellent low temperature performance.
The seal can be considered for use in heavy-duty applications when used with a suitable full depth back-up ring. The sealing lips are trimmed at an angle to give optimal sealing performance.
The symmetry of the R09 makes it ideally suited for single-acting rod or piston applications.
Light & medium‑duty single‑acting hydraulic cylinders: Ideal for rod or piston sealing in light/medium‑duty service; symmetric design fits both bore and rod applications, widely used in general industrial hydraulic cylinders.
Low to medium pressure general sealing: Rated up to 400bar; suitable for heavy‑duty use with a full‑depth back‑up ring. Balances low‑pressure sealing and high‑pressure extrusion resistance for machine tools, automation, and small hydraulic systems.
Low‑temperature hydraulic equipment: Made of polyurethane with excellent -45°C low‑temp performance; perfect for cold chain, cold‑region construction machinery, and outdoor equipment in low temperatures.
Double‑acting conversion use: Can be installed back‑to‑back for double‑acting cylinders for retrofits and general replacements.
Multi‑fluid general applications: Compatible with mineral oils, HFB emulsions, synthetic esters, etc.; suitable for water‑based fluids (HFA/HFC/water) but not for phosphate ester fluids; covers most industrial hydraulic media.
General‑speed reciprocating mechanisms: Max speed 1m/s; used in forklifts, sanitation trucks, agricultural machinery, injection molding machines, small presses, and other mobile/industrial hydraulic machinery.
